Mr.
Rob Curry
Now starting my fifth year here at Vinci Park and celebrating
my 22nd anniversary as a teacher, I work hard to cover all
the required state standards in as exciting ways as possible. I am known
for all the field trips my class goes on, all of which are directly related
to the curriculum. Likewise, I use the internet and video extensively to
help students do research and present their work.
I serve on the Berryessa District Curriculum
Council and I represent all the district elementary teachers of our district
in the CTA (teachers' union) executive board.
You will need to smile and say
"cheese" a lot this year as I am always taking and sharing pictures.
Look
who Mr. and Mrs. Curry went on Splash Mountain
with while at Disneyland!
I love to travel, especially to historical locations
in Europe, the United States and to Yosemite National Park.
This past summer I traveled to New Orleans for the National Education Association
convention and to the University of Maryland near Washington, DC, where
I attended a history seminar on American Slavery.
Of my four brothers and I, three of us are
teachers. My wife and I, although both San Francisco natives, are part
of the community and live in Berryessa. So if you see us in the neighborhood,
be sure to say hi.
I am easily available to students and their
parents. You can contact me by e-mail at rdcurry@sjteach.org
or call me at school at 408-923-1970.After hours, you can leave a voice
mail message at 408-923-1800 ext 3831
