The following projects have all been created or adapted by Mr. Curry:

explorers
Students will do a group presentation on one of the Europeon explorers

3dmap
Students will create a 3-D map of the United States as we study westward expansion

classconstitution
The class will draft a set of rules and procedures as a class constitution after living under the rule of an absolute monarch (the teacher) for the first 6 weeks of school.

slavery
Students will do a comprehensive study of the institution of slavery in America.

colonial
Students will review what they should have learned in 5th grade about colonial life.

AmBioProject
Students will create a presentation, display board or digital video documentary
about an historically significant American. 

immigration
Why have people come to America since 1492?
Why did your family come to America?
Students will learn about immigration from a personal perspective and
create an oral history presentation or short documentary.

historyday
Students who wish to earn an A are expected to participate in the
National History Day project with research and either a presentation, video or play.

wtp
Students will learn about the rights and the responsibilities of being a citizen.
We will learn how laws are made and choose a local issue which we will
research, lobby our legislators about and document what we do.

myhistory
Students will do a history of heir life and that of their family here in America.

videoproj
Students will be encouraged to create a digital self portrait of themselves and/or to create a video based on one of the other topics covered this year.
