The upland is near the salt marsh.  It has bigger plants and trees.  We are looking at black sage.  It has square stems.  The upland also has the Toyon bush that is called the Christmas tree because it has red berries and green leaves.  We also saw the tall tule grass, California sage and the butterfly garden with plants that butterflies like.

We saw four plants that are in the uplands.  There is the tule, Black sage and California sage and the Mexican tobacco tree.

sp2 We used binoculars to look out at the salt pond and the San Francisco Bay.  We could see a salt mountain and a garbage mountain.  We need to be careful with our garbage and try to reduce, reuse and recycle.
